Introduce you to how the organisation works, and your role within it 

Provide the information, training, and guidance for you to fulfil your volunteer role 

Provide support and feedback on your performance 

Respect your skills, dignity, and individual needs, and do our best to respond to these 

Monitor the hours you volunteer and recognise your contribution to the organisation 

Welcome your comments about ways we can improve our respective tasks 

Pay reasonable out-of-pocket expenses recorded on the expense form with receipts attached

Store all personal information in line with GDPR.

 

By signing below, you are confirming that you have read and agree with the following statements 

I will arrive or call at agreed times and provide reasonable notice when this is not possible. 

I will attend supervision, support, training, and review sessions which are appropriate to my role.  

I will maintain boundaries within my role as set out in the volunteer handbook.

I will report any safeguarding concerns directly to the coordinator.

I will always apply the values of the organisation.

I will raise any concerns I have as soon as possible with staff.

I will record my contacts on the Contact log form 

I will keep any personal information relating to my befriendee confidential.

I will share my comments about ways we can improve our respective tasks 

I will record out-of-pocket expenses on the volunteer claim form with receipts attached 

I will adhere to key policies and guidance set out by Community Connections Befriending in the volunteer handbook

I will promote the work of Age UK in my local community 

This agreement is binding in honour only, is not intended to be a legally binding contract between us and may be cancelled at any time at the discretion of either party. Neither of us intends any employment relationship to be created either now or at any time in the future.
